Bollant Industries makes the materials and products other businesses depend on, from paper-mill reels to finished tableware, and has done so since 2012.
Company story
From one line to a manufacturing network.
The first product was a plate pressed from an areca leaf that would otherwise have been burned. The first workforce included people most employers would not hire.
From that start the company added printing and adhesives so that it controlled its own inputs, opened units in Telangana and Karnataka, and then took on two paper mills that were struggling or under-used. Rather than build new capacity, it applied a method it calls ARO: assess the plant honestly, re-engineer the machinery and lines, and optimise the mill by connecting it to reliable raw material and buyers.
Today the mills supply recycled grades to converters and to Bollant’s own lines, which turn the paper into cores, boxes and tableware.
Milestones
- 2012
Bollant is founded in Hyderabad by Srikanth Bolla and Ravi Mantha, with a line pressing plates from fallen areca leaves.
- 2013–14
Printing and adhesives units are added so that inks and glues are made in-house. Units open in Nizamabad and Hubli.
- 2016
An areca unit opens in Bengaluru. The company receives investment from Ratan Tata, as reported in the national press.
- 2017
The Pochampally paper mill is revived, from 25 to 60 tonnes a day.
- 2018
The Jeedimetla mill is turned around, from 30 to 100 tonnes a day.
- Today
Eight manufacturing and ancillary units in Telangana and Karnataka (company count, 2026).

Bollant employs more than 500 people, around 180 of them specially abled. Stations are designed so a task can be done by touch, sight or sound, and the same output standard applies to everyone.
