What it is
Strong kraft board used as the outer and inner faces of corrugated board. It is part of Bollant’s Recycled Paper and Board family. Recovered paper and board from municipal and trade collection, graded before pulping. Plant-based additives are used for brightness.
Where it is used
- Corrugated box outer liners
- Heavy-duty export cartons
- Industrial packaging
Typical buyers: Carton and box makers, tube and drum manufacturers, disposable-product converters and our own converting units.
What to specify
Send these parameters with your enquiry. Values are agreed for each order and confirmed in a specification sheet before production.
| Parameter | Why it matters | Value |
|---|---|---|
| GSM | Liner weight. | Agreed per order |
| Burst factor | Strength. | Agreed per order |
| Ring crush or RCT, if used | For stacking strength. | Agreed per order |
| Moisture | Affects board warp. | Agreed per order |
| Reel size | For the corrugator. | Agreed per order |
Formats and options
- Reels to corrugator width
How it is made
Recovered paper is graded, de-inked and hydro-pulped, cleaned and refined, then formed, pressed and dried on automated, PLC-controlled paper machines. Reels are finished and cut to the order.
Limitations
Recycled fibre shortens each time it is reused, so strength-critical grades may need a share of long-fibre input. We do not claim paper can be recycled indefinitely.
Questions buyers ask
What is the difference between liner and flute?
The liner is the flat face of corrugated board; the flute is the wavy middle. Liners usually need higher strength because they carry the box’s compression load.
What is kraft liner board used for?
Common uses: corrugated box outer liners; heavy-duty export cartons; industrial packaging.
What should I specify when ordering kraft liner board?
Send: GSM; Burst factor; Ring crush or RCT, if used; Moisture; Reel size. Values are agreed per order.
